Progress With The Women’s Home

September 20th, 2007

September 17, 2008  The Lord continues to bless at Sugar Camp Baptist Church, we recently had 4 saved in Sunday School and 2 baptisted after morning service.  Sheri, the last young lady that we took to Rockford has graduated and is back home in Kentucky.  We now have one young lady who has agreed to help us full time in the home as a steward but we need another to make sure that all hours are covered.   We were also able to purchase at a very reasonable price some more furniture and other things to make the home more comfortable.

The women’s home is near Sugar Camp Baptist Church, which makes it easier to transport the women to church for meetings and to work there.  They can help in the administrative duties and bulletin boards and etc. They will be under constant supervision as they develop their character.

We do need some repair work done to the home.  The foundation needs attention as well as possibly a new roof.  We are trusting the Lord in helping us to be able to get these things done in a timely manner.  We had a group of people come to do some work but because of weather and a few other problems they were not able to do it.  They did say that they would come back to help us, for this we are very Thankfull.

The faithfull supporters for this home and eventually a men’s home are Sugar Camp Baptist Church, Pastor Tim Charlton, Trinity Baptist Church, Pastor Darrell Cox, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Pastor Dwayne Walker, Charity Baptist Church, Pastor Jeff Walters.   We are praying for more faithfull supporters, if you can help, please contact us.  Director Don McClure 606-668-9903
